For the first part of this project, we are to conduct an indepth ethnographic study of our neighborhood, Tridente. For this I worked with a team of three other members to document our experiences in the neighborhood over the period of three two and a half hour periods.
For quantitative data, I mapped out the businesses on the three main streets: Via del Corso, Via del Babuino, and Via di Ripetta. While this does not contain all of the businesses in the Tridente neighborhood, it should serve and be looked at as a sample size on the breakdown of businesses and the products they sell as well as their target market.
For qualitative data, we sat in two key areas of the neighborhood to document sights, smells, and sounds. These two key areas were Piazza di Spagna and Piazza del Popolo. Images taken will also be added and used to complete the feel of the neighborhood
Here you will find the complete brief on the project as well as what this data will be used for.
This blog will continue to be added to on a weekly basis as the project develops further.
